A major global player in AI translation software industry is looking to fill a Support Engineer position.
JOB SUMMARY
- Provide timely and effective support to domestic customers in Japan as part of the global support team.
- Work for a major global player in the AI translation software industry.
- Location: Tokyo (Roppongi) or Nagoya area.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Manage technical inquiries and issues via phone, email, chat, web conference, or on-site.
- Collaborate with support teams globally to ensure consistent support.
- Monitor and troubleshoot company’s cloud services on Linux servers.
- Assist with installation of server software on-site or in the cloud.
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide instruction to customers and prospects.
- Offer English and Japanese translations, user guides/manuals, and training sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in a technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on customer support and troubleshooting experience in Linux environments (experience with RHEL/CentOS or equivalent Linux is a plus).
- Experience managing cloud services on platforms like AWS is desirable.
- Familiarity with product documentation, manual creation, or website management/localization is a plus.
- Additional experience with MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, Docker, NodeJS, Zendesk, Git is advantageous.
- Strong competency in MS Office.
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
- Native Japanese speaker with business-level proficiency in written and spoken English.
